FaceFX contains a combined workspace and preview tab with hardware-accelerated sliders.
Drag nodes or curves onto a workspace to create new sliders.
Drag nodes or curves onto an existing slider to create a 2D slider.
A slider is selected when it has a blue outline. To select a slider simply click in it. Alternatively press the Tab key, which will cycle between the sliders in the order they were added to the workspace.
Press and hold the ‘Ctrl’ key when a slider is selected to move or rotate it.
To delete a slider make sure a slider is selected then press the Ctrl and Delete keys.
Select to always show sliders corresponding to the current node/curve selection.
Attach cameras to specific bones to lock the camera to an area of interest.
Use Next-Key and Previous-Key buttons to go to the time corresponding to the next key on the selected slider. If no sliders are selected, all sliders in the current workspace will be considered.
Press and hold the ‘H’ key to temporarily hide the workspace for a better view of the character. Note that the workspace still functions while it is hidden.
Press and hold the ‘Alt’ key to manipulate the default camera. If the camera is a named, user-created camera hold down both the ‘Ctrl’ and “Alt’ keys to manipulate the camera.
Use the middle mouse button inside of a slider to set a key. If a key already exists at the current time, the key will be deleted.
Use the right mouse button to reset a slider to it’s default value of 0.
